SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 28:16-17

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who relies on it
will never be stricken with panic.
I will make justice the measuring line
and righteousness the plumb line;
hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie,
and water will overflow your hiding place.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST remains forever the absolutely crucial building block of God’s kingdom.

Dear Father, I praise You that You laid the resurrected Lord Jesus, the Tested Stone, as the precious cornerstone of the whole Church. What a marvelous gift You have given to us! I am very grateful that before the beginning of time the Godhead decided to send the Tested Stone to earth to reveal Your grace and truth, and to lay down His life for mankind. I praise the Tested Stone that He possesses all the abilities, powers and understandings to be the strongest and most central part of the Church’s foundation. I rejoice that Jesus has been tested with all kinds of trials, temptations, attacks and burdens, and He has ALWAYS been faithful and victorious. Hallelujah! Jesus never fails or falters! I want to be faithful in my times of testing too. I repent for not trusting Jesus when I have been tested. I pray You will help me and all other Christians to know much more of Who the Tested Stone is, so that we will become wholeheartedly dependent upon Him, and increasingly like Him. I pray that You will prepare us to be faithful in times of testing, and use us to radically demonstrate the character of Christ to people around us who are hopeless without Him. In the tested and secure name of Jesus I ask these things. Amen.
