SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 28:5-6
In that day the Lord Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
to the one who sits in judgment,
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST administers God’s justice among His own people and to the ends of the earth.
Dear Father, I am deeply grateful that the Lord Jesus is the only One Who fulfills the high and holy role of the Spirit of Justice. I exalt Him that He has all the truth, wisdom, knowledge, mercy, compassion, courage, patience, discernment, peace and righteousness that are necessary for the administration of His perfect justice. I honor Jesus that He is completely fair and impartial. I pray that You will reveal more and more of the character and authority of the Spirit of Justice to me and to all His followers, so that we will become increasingly devoted to Him as our Lord and to living according to His justice. I pray that the men and women He places in positions of judging the affairs of the Church and the rest of our society will fear Him and judge according to His ways. May Your “liberty and justice for all” prevail for every person, place and situation across our nation, especially for those who are in the midst of severe physical and spiritual battles. I pray that many people who have resisted giving their lives to the Spirit of Justice will very soon cry out to Him as their only hope. I ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
