SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 28:5-6
In that day the Lord Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
to the one who sits in judgment,
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the One Who God has sent to be the fountainhead of all fortitude to us.
Dear Father, When I think of the Lord Jesus Christ being the Source of Strength of the entire world, I stand in awe of Him. I praise Him that He has demonstrated His physical, mental and spiritual strength countless times in Scripture accounts and in every conceivable way throughout history. I shout “Hallelujah” that His limitless strength surrounds and undergirds His people in all situations and at all times. I rejoice that He spoke the world into existence with His strength, and that He maintains every atom of the world with His strength. I pray that You will help me and all believers in the Source of Strength to: “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power,” (Ephesians. 6:10), as we “turn back the battle [against the enemies of our souls] at the gate” (of their stronghold). I delight that in Him alone we have courage, endurance and hope, as the Apostle Paul powerfully con-firms in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this [everything] through him who gives me strength.” I pray that we will be so dependent upon the strong Christ that all who know us will be anxious to know Him like we do. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, the all-mighty Source of Strength. Amen.
