SCRIPTURE READING:
Hebrews 3:1-2, 6

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house.

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST perfectly stewards His inheritance from the Father.

Dear Father, What a joyful assurance it is that Christ is the Son Over God’s (Your) House! I rejoice that He is the sole Heir with all rights and authority over Your whole house, now and forever. I worship Christ that He is completely faithful in honoring and obeying You, and in perfectly caring for all Your house. I am so grateful that I and all others who have received Your Son as our Savior are the house over which You have placed Him. There is nothing better I can imagine than to be His family (His people) under His loving, wise, graceful, strong, righteous, merciful, just and protective care. Please help us to be as devoted to the Son Over God’s House as He is to You: obeying Him, loving Him, serving Him, worshiping Him, knowing Him, communicating with Him, and boasting of His wonders to one another at all times. May Your Son be our great delight, as we “hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory” in Him. I pray these things in Your Son’s faithful name. Amen.
