A Refiner and Purifier of Silver

SCRIPTURE READING:
Malachi 3:2-4
But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST comes among His people to refine and purify us to serve His Kingdom purposes together.
Dear Father, I worship Jesus, Who is the consummate Refiner and Purifier of Silver. I honor Him that He is the holy and righteous Judge, and the only One Who is able to take people through the refining and purifying fire to remove the impurities of our lives (before He soon comes again). I am very grateful that He never destroys us through this refining, but that He perfectly cleanses, redeems and purifies us into the most precious silver and gold for His use. With all my heart, I want to live in complete truth and righteousness, and to bring honor to His holy name. I repent of all sin in my life, and submit myself to the Refiner and Purifier of Silver to do whatever He knows I need. I pray that I and all believers will continually practice 1 John 1:7-9: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” May every part of our lives be an offering to Him in righteousness. May the cleansing presence of the Refiner and Purifier of Silver sweep through the whole world. In His refining name I ask these things. Amen.
