Luke 7:11-17

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the primary and most esteemed spokesman for God.

Dear Father, I can imagine how all the people who saw Jesus raise the dead man to life were filled with awe and praise. I can also imagine that those people thought Jesus was another great prophet like Elijah or Elisha who they knew had performed many powerful miracles and had great authority. I exalt Jesus that in Him all the promises, and prophecies and the law are summed up. I am grateful that the people knew they had seen a stunning display of Your divine power, so Jesus had undoubtedly come from You. I honor Jesus that He alone can be called the Great Prophet of all prophets. Please help me and many other believers today to have such awe of Jesus’ astounding greatness, that news about Him spreads like wildfire through-out His Church and to all people. I pray again that very soon “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14). I ask these things in the name and for the fame of the Great Prophet. Amen.
