A Glorious Crown

SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 28:5-6
In that day the Lord Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
to the one who sits in judgment,
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, crowned by Heaven as the King of kings, reigns among us in the beauty of His majesty.
Dear Father, I praise Jesus as the only One Who could possibly be the Glorious Crown. I honor Him that He is worthy of all glory in heaven and earth, and that He is crowned with ALL majesty and righteousness. I worship the Glorious Crown in the splendor of all His attributes and powers. I exalt Him that His glory is everlasting and never-fading, and that He is more magnificent and precious than all earthly rulers of the people of Israel, and all other rulers who have ever lived. I rejoice that the Glorious Crown provides the fullness of life to me and all His people. In praise of the gloriously crowned King Jesus, I joyfully sing the first verse of “Crown Him With Many Crowns” by Matthew Bridges: “Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne. Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns, All music but its own! Awake, my soul and sing, Of Him who died for thee, And hail Him as thy matchless King, Thro’ all eternity.” May He rule every part of my life and His whole Church, now and forever. May His glory crown us. I pray these things in His holy and exalted name. Amen.
