A Beautiful Wreath

SCRIPTURE READING:
Isaiah 28:5-6
In that day the Lord Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
to the one who sits in judgment,
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
SIGNIFICANCE:
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is God’s promised adornment for His people.
Dear Father, I honor Jesus that He has all the beauty and royalty of the Godhead. I praise Him that He is the Beautiful Wreath for those who have given their lives to Him. I think of how wreaths of flowers, berries and other parts of tree branches are put on people’s heads or doors to celebrate special occasions, and I am so grateful that Jesus continually covers us with His resplendent beauty, fragrance and color. I exalt Jesus that His beauty is beyond all imagination and compare. I pray You will reveal so much more of the Beautiful Wreath to us that we will forsake all other attractions and allegiances for Him. Please put in us the consuming passion for the Beautiful Wreath that King David expresses in Psalm 27:4, “One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.” Please help us to talk about the Beautiful Wreath continually with one another and to live in all His beauty. I pray that You will do whatever is necessary in the unsaved people all around us so they will urgently seek Him too. I ask these things in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
