My Vision for the Kairos Year of 2024

We have come to God’s crossroads hour for the destiny of the American Church. It is my strong conviction that in relation to the reign of Christ, 2024 will be decisive in the long term for God’s kingdom work in our nation—whether through awakening or by judgment.
At this moment, I can see only one year ahead. I have no sense of where everything will stand by January 1, 2025. However, for me and our mission—2024 comes down to this: It is now or never. Do or die. Why?
Think about this: Multiple times in Scripture, we see God waiting patiently—even pleading through his messengers—for his people to turn back to him and be saved. But finally, the day arrives when the invitation is removed, and judgment begins instead.
This applies to all of us right now. Along with respected Christian leaders, I believe God’s people are similarly poised at an inflection point for the American Church. Any future advances for the cause of Christ are on the line—and, as a result, the survival of the country itself, as well! “He who is coming will come and will not delay” is a verse that can be applied to either awakening or judgment.
I (and many Jesus followers) believe we have entered a season for which these words from Hebrews 12 are quite appropriate:
See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? . . . for our “God is a consuming fire.” (NIV)
But at the same time, I eat, sleep, and breathe an unshakeable vision. My hope is that by the close of 2024, a nationwide Christ Awakening will be visible, growing, even clearly underway with a sustainable, Spirit-driven life of its own—and starting to make a strategic difference by the saving power of Christ in the troubled life of the entire nation.
Of course, it could go the other way. By 2025, we might find ourselves experiencing more of the judgments of the Lord as our nation and culture continue their rapid dissolution, taking the Church down with them.
Or is it more appropriate to say the Church ends up taking the nation down with it?
That’s the reason for our urgency—for why our campaign is focused only on 2024. We believe all the efforts of Proclaim Hope and Christ Now—plus all my own labors over the past decades—have now come down to the next 12 months. As Jesus came preaching, even so, our message in the coming days is nothing less: “The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent. Believe.” Now. This is an unshakable reality in my soul.
THEREFORE, throughout 2024, Proclaim Hope! will pour everything we’ve produced so far, exploiting to the full every outreach channel God has given us, into serving an American CHRIST Awakening. But there’s a whole lot more!
On January 1, we launched a fully reconstituted CHRISTNOW.COM. We are taking our ministry in dynamic new directions, using the digital world to find, feed, and galvanize hundreds of thousands of Christians desperate to see more of the redeeming glory of Christ come upon our land.
Together with your prayers and support, our team will seek to inspire, encourage, and equip a multitude of Christians—who are already waking up to more of Christ—to become a Christ Awakening movement across America. This unprecedented 2024 initiative will rally around one key theme:
