Our Disturbing Paralysis: When And How Christ’s Reign Frees Us!
So many Christians today are overwhelmed and overloaded as they try to live for the glory of Christ. The immensity and complexity and urgency of the challenges that come at us from all around us end up paralyzing us emotionally and spiritually.
At times it seems as if we’re on the verge of collapse—both individually and together as God’s people.
We find ourselves weary in the work of Christ because we have become overextended, overcommitted, overloaded. We know there’s a desperate need for a fresh encounter with our risen, reigning, renewing Redeemer. We need to be set free by him and for him—by his power and by his presence. The Spirit must bring us into a genuine “Christ Awakening.”
However, the real culprits in our failure to live victoriously in Christ may actually be coming from places we have not suspected—the very handicaps from which a Christ Awakening liberates us, namely:
- Our predisposition toward the status quo
- Our predisposition toward idolatry
- Our predisposition to ignore Satanic strongholds
Thankfully, God loves his people—he loves YOU—too much to leave us in this condition.
More than that, God loves his Son too much to leave us in this condition—where we are seriously crippled in our ability to know him and grow in him for all he is. The Father intends to set us free for JESUS’ SAKE most of all!
