Over Zoom, Christians from every part of the Body of Christ are coming together in prayer every month from coast to coast.

In these unique gatherings, we cry out to the Father for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit so that a mighty Christ Awakening might sweep across our nation.

We call this strategic prayer initiative “BREAKTHROUGH!”

Each one-hour prayer event is facilitated by Steve Hall, regional director for International Renewal Ministries; Jason Hubbard, president of International Prayer Connect; and David Bryant, founder of ChristNow.com. (ChristNow.com also serves as the base of operations for The Nationwide Campaign for an American CHRIST Awakening.)

Let me tell you a little about the vision for a Christ Awakening, the campaign itself, and the strategic role of the BREAKTHROUGH! Zoom prayer meetings.

David Bryant, a long-time leader in this movement, defines a CHRIST Awakening like this: “When God’s Spirit uses God’s Word to reintroduce God’s people to God’s Son for ALL he is.”

Or, in other terms: “A CHRIST Awakening is when a person or a church becomes fully alive to the full extent of the supremacy of Christ.”

Oh, how we desperately need to become much more fully alive to Christ’s supremacy, don’t we?

The Holy Spirit has given many of us a deep burden for the whole Church across our nation. We envision the Body of Christ united in continual worship and obedience toward our glorious King.

We believe the Father is ready to move upon millions of believers across America to be AWAKENED TO and LIVE IN more and more and more of Christ for who he is today, reigning at God’s right hand!

And a strategic step in that direction is to raise up a nationwide prayer initiative to seek such a breakthrough.

Everyone is invited to be part of this unprecedented prayer effort.

BREAKTHROUGH is for every Christian who believes that we must experience nothing less than a widespread spiritual revolution focused on the reigning Christ at this crossroads moment for America.

To be sure, these gatherings are eager to involve Christian leaders who will help guide us in seeking God for the awakening. But just as vital, we welcome ALL Jesus followers everywhere who share a similar hunger to see much more of the glory and supremacy of Christ revealed within our churches and across our nation.

With that conviction, our next BREAKTHROUGH! Zoom prayer gathering launches on Thursday, April 7, at 11:00-Noon, Eastern Time (10-11:00, Central; 9-10:00, Mountain; 8-9:00, Pacific).

It will reconvene the first Thursday of every month thereafter.

During the hour: We will unite in worshiping our reigning Redeemer, read and pray through key Scripture passages about Jesus’ supremacy, and get reports about and intercede for several unfolding breakthroughs related to the campaign for the coming American CHRIST Awakening.

I’m praying that multitudes of believers who are thirsty for more of God’s Son (Revelation 22:17) will join us.

We will record each session. That way, participants can share what we’ve prayed with Christian friends, small groups, and local churches—to help them join with us in seeking this Christ Awakening. 

What might the Spirit do IF individuals, congregations, ministries, small prayer groups, and large prayer movements unite in fervent prayer for an American CHRIST Awakening monthly for the next two years?

That’s why we’re calling these gatherings BREAKTHROUGH! That’s what we believe we’ll experience as we pursue God’s face together in prayer. And it will be “exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all we could ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3).

I pray that very soon what the Apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 4:6 will become the daily experience for you, me, and the Church across America:
