John 6:10-14

Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the highest representative of God to man.

Dear Father,I join the people who saw this miraculous sign that Jesus did, in being profoundly amazed at Who He was (and still is today). I say with them: “Surely [without a doubt] this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” I give all glory to Jesus that the people realized the ancient prophecy which God had spoken through Moses in Deuteronomy 18:18 was being fulfilled in their presence: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.” Oh, thank You, great Father, that Jesus fully spoke Your words and revealed Your attributes to the people 2000 years ago, and has continually revealed them since that time! I exalt Him that He is the Prophet—the Messiah, Son of Man, Savior, Christ—Hallelujah! I pray that Your Spirit will convict me and all believers in our day to know the vast words, attributes and deeds of the Prophet, so that we will devote ourselves to proclaiming His greatness to one another and to everyone else You bring into our lives. Please help us to focus our highest attention and passion upon Him. In His worthy name I pray these things. Amen.
