The One Who Gives Victory to Kings

I will sing a new song to you, my God;
on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,
to the One who gives victory to kings,
who delivers his servant David.
From the deadly sword 11 deliver me;
rescue me from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies,
whose right hands are deceitful.
Dear Father, I exalt the Lord Jesus Christ that He is the ultimate and eternal King of all kings, Ruler of all rulers, Lord of all lords, and Governor of all governors. I praise Him that He has always had all the wisdom and authority to raise up kings and take down kings. I place all leaders, in all walks of life (including in the Church), of all cities and nations, in the hands of Jesus, the One Who Gives Victory to Kings. I pray that You will put in each of these leaders a fear and respect for the One Who Gives Victory to Kings, and a resolute submission to and dependency upon Him. I pray Proverbs 1:7 for each of the Christian leaders: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” I pray that Christ will save and deliver them from sin, ungodly alliances, the devil’s deceptions, wrong decisions, financial problems, strongholds, destructive habits and all other “battles.” I pray that an unprecedented number of them will live under Christ’s wisdom, righteousness, love, grace, truth, justice and courage that will impact great numbers of their followers. May unceasing glory go to the One Who Gives Victory to Kings, in Whose name I pray these things. Amen.
